Executive Assistant/Web Master

Department: Information Technology
Location: Cockeysville, MD

The Grand Lodge of Maryland located in Cockeysville, MD has an immediate opening for a Full-time hourly Administrative Assistant/Web Master. This position is required to work 35 hours per week in the office. This position will repot to the Grand Secretary. Candidates must have previous experience as a Administrative Assistant/Web Master.

Must have experience creating, editing and updating websites. Also, excellent organization, communication, customer service skills. Must be proficient with MS Office. Candidates must submit a resume' to be considered for this position.

Essential Duties/Major Accountabilities:

  • Fully responsible for creating, managing the content, technical upkeep of all websites, monitors the performance of all websites and the organization all websites.
  • Must be experienced and knowledgeable of HTML and programing - server management is a plus.
  • Ability to use Google and Bing as tools for managing the websites.
  • Administrator of all current websites.
  • Must be proficient in MS Software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc…)
  • Provides administrative support to the Grand Secretary.
  • Responsible for making travel arrangements for the Grand Lodge Officers as required.
  • Responsible for creating the “Blue Book”.
  • Responsible for transcribing and producing the Annual Proceedings of the Grand Lodge.
  • Assist with other applications involving the publication and printing process as required.
  • Produce and procure certificates and other printing projects as required.
  • Responsible for serving as a secondary contact to the Grand Secretary for inquiries from other Masonic jurisdictions and bodies.
  • Must possess excellent customer service, communication and organization skills.
  • Will serve as a backup for answering incoming phone calls to the Grand Lodge Office during vacations, meal breaks and when other team members are occupied with callers
  • Responsible for maintaining office supply inventory and ordering office supplies.
  • Effectively communicate via verbally or by email with the Grand Secretary regarding all facility issues/concerns.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with website design and management.
  • High School Education required. AA Degree in Business preferred.

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, visitors and the general public.
  • Must possess the ability and knowledge to operate basic office equipment; copy machine telephone equipment, main telephone console, calculator, fax machine, computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and ability to navigate the internet.
  • Must possess and demonstrate thorough knowledge of the principles of office protocol and modern office procedures.
  • Must possess a good knowledge of purchasing and inventory controls, ability to understand and interpret rules and regulations, policies and procedures, ability to maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Must present a neat clean appearance.
  • Must have patience, tact and cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult clients.
  • Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into the office environment.
